3 Blogging Tips That Will Advance Your Blogging Skills

Hey Guys!

I wanted to make this post because I have been noticing some mistakes that bother me so much in other people’s blogs. I know I did a student blogging challenge awhile back like this, but I wanted to make an updated version. It is so important to use good grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization for your posts.

blog1. Proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization

When writing a post, it is important to remember the rules of writing. Nobody likes seeing a post with this:

 the dog selibrated he bertday?
Of course, I’m guessing it’s unlikely that anybody would talk about a dog celebrating his birthday, but it’s just an example.
2. Post what you LOVE!
Nobody likes a post without love behind it, without meaning. When you post a topic that doesn’t mean anything to you just to get readers it loses the meaning and thought. Also, no copying others, be yourself. Trying to be like somebody else isn’t going to get you anywhere.

 3. Pick a theme you love
Pick, a theme, for example, my theme is sweets. And I LOVE sweets. If you liked unicorns, talk about unicorns. Of course, not every post has to be your theme. Also, it’s a good idea for your title, header image, and background to be about your theme too. And it is important to pick a theme you love, not what everybody wants it to be.

Fire Frenzy on the Bus

Hey Guys!

Today on the bus to school I had quite the adventure. Me and my friend were practicing for our Princess Bride Play. We started to smell fire and smoke with a touch of electricity. I thought that we had just drove past somebody having a campfire or barbecue or something. The next thing we noticed was smoke flowing into the front of the bus.

school bus

“Um… What’s happening?” asked my uneasy friend. I was looking to the back of the bus.

“It was Devon!” called a girl from a higher grade. I was worried.

“Let’s just ignore this and let somebody else figure it out,” my friend decided.

“Yeah, let’s continue practicing.” Devon was walking to the front of the bus with a  smoking battery in his hand. He must’ve thrown it into the garbage can, because that was the last thing I noticed. Suddenly, we heard somebody shout, “Yay! Mr. Milmine has saved us!” I am guessing our bus driver had done something to put out the battery fire. Apparently, Devon had broke somebody’s phone and the battery started flaming. When I got to school, me and my friend told all my other friends, plus our homeroom teacher.

I hope you enjoyed my true story, (really) XOXO Clara.

“Recipe of the Week” Announcement

Hey Guys! I have been thinking about starting a new series called Recipe of the Week. Every week I will make a post explaining a simple, recipe of my own, obviously I probably won’t be using the oven, I might use a microwave, but I’ll probably will just be staying as simple as I can get.

baking

I’ll probably be doing a lot of sweets, so prepare with a bulk box of Hershey’s chocolate, a bag of marshmallows, honey, and a few jars of cinnamon. I’ll include a first recipe here:

Peanut Butter and Honey

Please Note: I do not like jelly.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • honey
  • peanut butter
  • spreading knife

Steps

  1. Spread peanut butter on one slice of bread with spreading knife.
  2. Squeeze/spoon/pour honey onto the other slice of bread
  3. Sandwich bread together.
